This is the simplest idea in the world to make the world a better place. All I want is for you to buy a ball and put it in a nearby park so people can play. That's it. Really. The first reaction most people have to this idea is: "No way. The ball will be stolen in a minute." Not necessarily. The trick is to write on the ball in large letters and permanent marker: "Please leave the ball in the park." You would be amazed how people will respect that request. Still, a ball may be stolen. If it happens, oh well. That ball is still out in the world being played with. It's not the worst thing in the world. See The PLAY MORE page for more info to keep a ball in a park. I can't describe how the park near my house has come alive since we put balls in them. People are there every day playing. Big kids. Little kids. Businesspeople. Retirees. Toddlers. Parents. Scads of teenagers. Couples. Pets. It is truly amazing. They pick up the ball. Play around for awhile. Put the ball back when they are done. And go on their way. It's awesome! This is one idea. Act on it. Or dream something up on your own. Then tell us about it. It doesn’t have to be big. In fact, it’s better if it’s not. Do something small. Do something doable. Do something without any expectation of any benefit in return. Just imagine, if everyone started doing anonymous things to improve their community without any regard to gain, this would be a better world in a minute. Try it out. Then join our blog.
